Cravings galore
Well here I am, 3 weeks into my prep and im down 3% body fat already! Whooooo! I really only have about 6% left to lose, should be pretty simple right? HA! Ya right! I'm finally starting to crave just about anything that's not on my meal plan. Its getting harder and harder each day. I mean everyone loves peanut butter and can go months without eating it and not crave it and then as soon as you "cant'" have it, its literally the only thing I want to eat. So how exactly am I going to cure this craving..? I have no freaking idea!! Other then wanting to eat an entire jar of peanut butter in one sitting I am doing really good so far and am getting more and more excited every day to step on stage and show off what I have been working so hard for!!

healthy breakfast ideas
Here I am, three days into my NPC Bikini 10 week prep and I'm feeling GREAT!!!
I am currently eating 6 small meals a day and let me tell you it seems like a lot of food still. I'm having a little bit of trouble adjusting to eating more frequently and sometimes my work schedule makes it a little tricky but I'm figuring it out slowly but surly.
My new favorite thing is my breakfast creation! I am not a huge breakfast person at all and never have been, but this meal is slowly becoming one of my favorites! I want everyone to try it because its so good ;) Egg whites are a great source of lean protein with low fat content and low carbs, which in this phase of my prep is really important because were trying to lean out as much as possible without sacrificing the muscle mass. So lots of lean protein is a good thing! Of course most veggies are always a good thing no matter what. Right now I am on a real pepper kick, I'm loving sweet peppers and eating them more then once a day. Everyone knows that spinach and any leafy green veggie is the best thing for you. I wasn't a huge fan but I know its good for me and I forced myself to eat it in salads and I started liking it and now I eat it all the time with no questions asked. Now lets be real, what is a scramble without cheese? Luckily we still want a small amount of fat in our diet and in this meal we get most of it from a small amount of cheese! So here is the recipe, its super easy and it can be baked or cooked on the stovetop!
6 egg whites or 1 cup of liquid egg whites
1 whole egg
1/2 cup of mixed veggies (I used peppers and mushrooms)
1/2 cup of spinach
1/8 cup of 2% shredded cheddar cheese
Cook it up and enjoy! I of course have to have sriatcha on mine since I eat it on practically everything!!

Progress
So last night when I should have been doing homework, I was looking in the mirror and flexing my back and arms and abs to see some progress. I had an AWESOME back workout yesterday and was positive that there was going to be some changes(highly unlikely) so I had to check it out. And sure enough without a sports bra on I could see that there was a nice "V" shape announcing itself in my back muscles! Pretty sure that seeing that fueled my motivation level for the next year! It was seriously so exciting and made it so much easier to stick to my meal plan and eat exactly what I should!

Competition Prep
So today marks day one of my 12 week competition prep! How exciting!! I cant believe that in 12 weeks ill be stepping on a stage showing off what I have been working so hard on, My Body!!
I decided in August of 2013 that I was going to compete in the NPC Bikini division. I really love working out and eating healthy and ultimately it has become my new lifestyle. Most people dont understand why I want to put myself through prep and eat such strict restricting meals, but I see it as a challenge for myself. I see it as a way to make me stronger, not only physically but emotionally as well. I have had weeks where I look at pictures of other bikini competitors and think to myself "who am I kidding I cant do that" or "maybe I should just not compete this year, I wont be ready in time" and let me tell you that is really hard and defeating to your drive and motivation. At the end of the day I look at how far I have already come and am amazed at myself! I luckily have the best trainer ever and he can pretty much talk me out of my funks and he knows when something is wrong or I'm just not myself. He has been so great to me and has really helped me develop my plan for this 12 week prep and hes done it in a way that I learn in hopes that I will be able to do it on my own one day.
Looking forward just makes me so excited and giddy! I have so many good things going on im my life right now and couldn't be happier to see what else is in store for me in the next year! I have the best support system anyone could ask for and I know that with that behind me and a positive attitude I'm going to do great!!

Madness!
Happy Thursday!!
Well its almost a week into winter quarter and I'm already trying to figure out what I was thinking taking 18 credits..! I'm CRAZY!! I already have so much homework to get done and tons of reading! Guess I know what I'll be doing on the weekends for the next 12 weeks ;) I'm actually really excited to be back in the classroom learning moving one step closer to my degree! As of right now I've been working on prerequisites for RN school. But more recently with my love of fitness, nutrition, and the human body I have been looking into getting my bachelors degree in Exercise science with personal training emphasis. I have been thinking about this a lot over the last 6-8 months because lets be real I've wanted to be a nurse for the last 5 years and that's what I had my heart set on. I'm still not 100% sure that this is the route I want to take but I have a good feeling about it! But for now I'll keep working away until I get into a Bachelors program!
Right now my main problem is trying to figure out when I'm going to get all this homework done between work and my gym schedule. Most people would say go to the gym less, but thats really the only thing that keeps me sane so I guess I'm going to have to sleep a little bit less and stay up past 9:30 every night!

My first blog ever!!
This is so exciting for me! I have never had a blog before and talking to one of my best friends she told me that we should each start a blog and I thought huh what a great idea! So here I am :) I cant think of a better way to share what I have done and what I want to do while im still in my twenties living exactly how I want! There is no better way to express my feelings and share things that I feel are helpful and useful for others!
I am a 23 year old girl fitness enthusiast looking to make a name for myself in NPC Bikini world in the upcoming competition season. I have one brother who is 14 and he is the greatest thing ever. He gets on my nerves but I love the kid :) I work as a Medical Assistant at an Oncology office and have been here for 3 and a half years and absolutely love it! Sometimes I get really anxious over nothing and think extreme thoughts but that's just how I am. I enjoy spending time at the gym and looking at my muscles in the mirror ;) but who doesn't like that!? I also really like trying new healthy recipes and creating new ones for others to try! I tend to get way to excited about little things and always jump to the most extreme thought.
That's just a little bit about me, I'm sure in coming posts you guys will learn a lot more about me :)
